Ellagee Villainous Holo-ween-Syndrome & Dr. Facilier Duos

 *Press Samples
Hi polish friends, happy Wednesday.  I hope this week has been treating you well.  Today is my big spinal MRI day that I've waited a month for.  I'm seeing the neurologist right after so if there is something on the scans, I'll know right away.  I will let you all know tomorrow what the results are, fingers crossed.  Nothing makes me feel better than beautiful polishes and today I have some real gems to share with you.

Today I have two duos of polish which are from Ellagee's newest collection called Villainous Holo-ween.  This collection is inspired by Disney/Pixar villains and features mega holos and matching glitters.  How cool is that?  I am a huge cartoon movie fan so this collection is right up my alley :)

SYNDROME DUO-

First up is the Syndrome duo from the Incredibles, one of my favorite cartoon movies...I want to be part of a family that all have different superpowers!  The holo in this duo is called When Everyone's Super... and it's a coppery orange with linear and scattered holographic shimmer.  The holo in this polish was really strong and very apparent indoors.  The formula was perfect on this polish and I used two easy coats with topcoat below.

The glitter in this duo is ...No One Will Be.  Let me tell you, the two glitters I tried, were absolutely stunning.  I kid you not, my husband looked over when I was doing my nails and said whoa, what polish is that?  This blue glitter is a mix of iridescent and bright sky blue holographic glitters.  This glitter is SO sparkly, I've honestly never seen glitters so luminous before.  The glitter payoff was fantastic.  I used one coat over Zoya Margo on all nails except my ring finger, which is three coats over Zoya Margo.  Swatches are with topcoat.

DR. FACILIER DUO-

The second duo I have to share is inspired by Dr. Facilier from The Princess and The Frog.  This was one of the few movies I haven't seen (along with Frozen) but if the villain picture is any indication, it looks pretty intense.  Also, he looks like quite the snappy dresser ;)

The holo in this duo is called Shake a Poor Sinner's Hand and it's a red-toned grape-y purple with linear and scattered holographic shimmer.  Again, the holo was very strong indoors with this one as well.  That is an important factor to me because I spend most of my time indoors :)  The formula was slightly thicker on this one, but not too thick to be a problem.  It was very opaque in two coats and I used topcoat below.  The color was very cool to see in holo form.

Last up, another gorgeous sparkly glitter.  Friends on the Other Side is a clear glitter base with lime, emerald, and fuchsia glitters.  The green is so pretty but that pop of fuchsia just really does the trick in this polish.  Like the blue glitter, the glitter payoff was fantastic in one coat.  I used one coat over Zoya Claire on all nails except my ring finger, which was three coats over Zoya Claire.  Swatches were finished with topcoat.

Overall I have nothing but great things to say about these polishes.  The colors of the holos are really unique and cool, but honestly, both the glitters stole my heart.  They are beyond beautiful!  Laura, the creator of Ellagee polish has really made some beauties here :)

Pre-orders for this collection start September 5th and they will be available starting September 12th.  You can find them on the Ellagee website here!

*Polishes in this post were sent for review in exchange for my honest opinion.
